My microphone and camera setup

Hello everyone!

I hoped you liked my latest ASMR video: Nurse ASMR Role-play.
In this blog post I want to show you how I setup my microphone and camera.
I have said it numerous times that I am not very pro in these things.
It takes me about 15 minutes to setup all my equipment.

So here is the setup:

The only way I can make the heavy mic stay up!

So in case you are wondering what you are seeing let me explain:

The tripod is at my height level and on the top I have an iPad clamp (from Ebay)
I used to record with my iPad but now I have switched to an iPhone 6s which works fine with this clamp too.
The microphone is the well known 3DIO FreeSpace Pro. You can cannot really see it in the photos but I have another clamp (in the shape of a peg that holds the mic with the tripod).
Because the mic is heavy and tilts forward, I use a hair elastic to hold it upright :) hehe

In my latest video I used my new lights. I bought a softbox :)
What do you think?

My first selfie to see how I look in front of the softbox (wearing my pjs).

I was so SO SO so happy when I received the softbox, as I always had issues with my lights. Thanks to all the people that support me on Patreon and all of you of course <3

And because you are here, reading this blog, I am going to give you a hint for my upcoming video.
It is mostly targeted to the ladies

Love,

Marianne

  3. Thank you for all the work you put into setting up. I think the soft box worked well. Thank you for the selfie in your pjs; you are always beautiful somehow. I really enjoy this blog. XOXOXO

  4. Hard for me to tell what is what in the equipment photo because I have some spatial difficulties-don't see the iPhone, etc., but I'm happy and always love your videos. Something for the ladies, huh? Well, as a woman who can't make heads or tails of makeup-it is probably that. I never see you wearing much jewelry although that would be nice and the sounds might be fun. But I'm already picturing you brushing the lens! Now you could give us ladies some tips on how to fight for equal pay in the workforce, or better yet, Marianne for President!

  6. your setup actually seems to be quite professional now the only thing i could see improving would be using something like a professional camera such as a canon with some good lens. nonetheless the video quality is still really good and your newest video was great i look forward to seeing more.

  7. I always find it surprisingly strange when an ASMR-tist reveals their gear set up behind the scenes. Almost like it breaks the illusion i, and probably others, have created in their mind! When i watch a video it seems so easy and natural and then i see what the person who filmed the video sees and i can't imagine how they achieve what they do. How completely unnatural it must be to film - and yet as a viewer you would never know that just from seeing the videos! That is something special. I don't think i could do that or be half as good at all. Much respect.

  14. Pale Pilgrim, I read a post of yours once where you said you weren't a stalker (probably not the word you used). However, I find your enthusiasm for Marianne quite unnerving. If I were in her position I would be quite scared of you.
