My favourite ASMRtists!

I haven't blogged for a while, so I was thinking what to write about next.

I would like to share with you my favourite ASMRtists.

Now, I am in the ASMR community since the beginning (2009). 

I have seen thousands and thousands of videos and I consider myself somehow a veteran in this field :P

And that is why I am very picky with the ASMR channels that I follow.

Here are my favourite ASMR channels, with no particular order.

~ GentleWhispering 

What we can say about Maria? She is the face, the ambassador of ASMR and she totally deserves it as she is so talented and aware of what works and what doesn't. From my point of view, her voice and her hand movements are her greatest assets.

~ Heather Feather

Heather is amazing! She has a great sense of humour and a wild creativity, which can be seen in her videos. I love Heather as she acknowledges other ASMRtists' work and supports them. From my point of view her greatest assets are her doctor role-plays and her whispering voice.

~ WhispersRed

The motherly figure of ASMR. I absolute adore Emma's voice, accent and how hardworking she is. You can see it how dedicated and how much she loves making ASMR videos, and I really appreciate that. From my point of view her greatest assets are her calm demeanour (at all times) and soft voice.

~ MassageASMR

I believe Dmitri (if that is his name) is an expert in triggering ASMR. He know so well, how to control his voice, and how to make hand movements that will trigger your head. My favourite video of his is: ASMR Dr Dmitri Roleplay for Tired and Sore Eyes

~ asmrLoa

The only not-so-well known ASMRtist that I absolutely love. I strongly believe she knows how to trigger ASMR, and she really makes extraordinary roleplays. Her voice is a lot different than others, which is another asset of hers. My favourite video of asmrLoa is: ASMR Reiki Therapy Role-play

Cutebunny in Mountain Olympus

Hello everyone!

For this blog post I wanted to share some photos of Mountain Olympus in Greece so you can picture it while watching my latest video -> https://youtu.be/HOP-593SLUw 

Some details from my latest video were inspired by actual experiences of mine (e.g. Olympian water from a hidden waterfall).

Back in 2011, while I was still living in Greece, I visited a beautiful hidden place in Mountain Olympus with some friends of mine. Here are some photos from my trip:

This was a hidden waterfall we found. You had to swim to reach it. It was so beautiful!

A humongous rock we found. There is a terrifying cliff behind it.

 Not shot by me: The pointy peak on the left is the highest peak in whole Greece. It is called Mytikas and it 2917 meters high!

Not shot by me: This is Stefani (the Throne of Zeus). You have to walk 6-8 hours uphill to reach this.

My life is quite un-eventful lately so, I thought I will do a tag post.

#1. What's a nickname only your family calls you?

My mum calls me 'sweetie' and my friends call me Mariannu!

#2. What's a weird habit of yours?

I constantly play with my hair! I never stop!

#3. Do you have any weird phobias?

Tomatoes, snakes and people staring at windows are my greatest fears.

#4. What's a song you secretly LOVE to blast & belt out when you're alone?

Katy Perry - Roar

#5. What's one of your biggest pet peeves?

People biting their nails and the sound you make when you drink water from a plastic bottle...yaks!

#6. What's one of your nervous habits?

Stress in another excuse of mine to play with my hair :) haha

#7. What side of the bed do you sleep on?

Always left!

#8. What was your first stuffed animal & what was its name?

I had a pair of fluffy bunny slippers that I treated like real beings. I didn't give them a name though.

#9. What's the drink you ALWAYS order at Starbucks?

I like cappuccino's with chocolate powder. 

#10. What's the beauty rule you preach.. but never ACTUALLY practice?

Sunscreen. But I avoid the sun so I am good :D

#11. Which way do you face in the shower? 

Usually, I have my back to the water.

#12. Do you have any 'weird' body 'skills'? 

I can move my veins left and right on my ring fingers. 

#13. What's your favorite 'comfort food'/food thats 'bad' but you love to eat it anyways? 

Domino's pepperoni pizza :/

#14. What's a phrase or exclamation you always say?

What the heck? :P

#15. Time to sleep- what are you ACTUALLY wearing?

Pj's but never as a set, as I change my top every 2 days.

My microphone and camera setup

Hello everyone!

I hoped you liked my latest ASMR video: Nurse ASMR Role-play.

In this blog post I want to show you how I setup my microphone and camera.

I have said it numerous times that I am not very pro in these things.

It takes me about 15 minutes to setup all my equipment.

So here is the setup:

The only way I can make the heavy mic stay up!

So in case you are wondering what you are seeing let me explain:

The tripod is at my height level and on the top I have an iPad clamp (from Ebay)

I used to record with my iPad but now I have switched to an iPhone 6s which works fine with this clamp too. 

The microphone is the well known 3DIO FreeSpace Pro. You can cannot really see it in the photos but I have another clamp (in the shape of a peg that holds the mic with the tripod).

Because the mic is heavy and tilts forward, I use a hair elastic to hold it upright :) hehe

In my latest video I used my new lights. I bought a softbox :)

I was so SO SO so happy when I received the softbox, as I always had issues with my lights. Thanks to all the people that support me on Patreon and all of you of course <3

My Summer Holidays

Hello everyone!

I hope you had a lovely time these holidays! 

A few days before New Year's Eve I went to the Gold Coast, AU.

Gold Coast is one of the most popular tourist destinations here in Australia. It is quite hot, it has lots of beautiful beaches and of course... big theme parks.

Here are some pics:

I also went to MovieWorld (movie-themed park) and to Wet n' Wild (water park). My favourite place by far was the water park! I am still a child when it comes to these activities. 

This cake is called Vasilopita. I made it :) Vasilopita is a traditional Greek cake served at midnight on New Year's Eve to celebrate the life of Saint Basil. After baking the vasilopita, a coin is inserted through the base and when cut the person who finds the coin is said to be granted luck for the rest of the year! (Thank you Wiki)

I didn't win but that's ok!

My Christmas and my Bedside video setup

Hello everyone :)

• Christmas

I hope you had a lovely time at Christmas, or just enjoyed the day off if you do not celebrate them.
I had a lovely time with friends and family. Me and my family invited almost 30 people and there was LOTS and LOTS of food. Combine food and Greek music and you have a Greek feast (Greek glenti).

I got a really nice gift this Christmas, for which I am very grateful. I was wearing it in my latest video:

Suunto M5 

Lately I have been trying to stay in shape by going to the gym. I do not want to lose weight, just to be toned and fit. So this watch will be a great company in this effort of mine.

I am no good with decorations and house styling and things like that. I just like simple things and you can see than in my Christmas tree.

This is a selfie after I wrapped up with my first attempt to do the bedside care video. I was so tired (you can see it in my eyes) but I was happy with the result, only to find out the next day that my microphone was out of battery and it didn't record anything. I was so frustrated but you know....that's life. So the next night I recorded again, and it was even better :)

Let me tell you, I am no pro in anything. I wish I were as professional as the other ASMRtists but I am not. I use very basic equipment and my setup is basic as well.

Welcome and Graduation pics!

.....it took me a while to make this blog page look pretty. I like simple and elegant and I am somewhat happy with the result. I hope you like it too.

I do not know what I am going to fill in this blog with yet, but lets embark in this mysterious journey :)

For my first post, I wanted to share something really exciting with you. A few days I graduated from my Education course with Honours. It is a big deal for me, as I succeeded despite the obstacles. The main obstacle was the language. My native language is Greek but I am proud of myself that I was able to meet the standards in a university level and excel. My parents are really proud too :)
